I love Wang's comment in this one: it's such an utter rejection of exposition.

P: I think your entire Hypothesis on down fall of civilization is entirely false, our american civiliation has a long tradition of vigilante action I mean our very seperation was act of rebelion against authority and every step of our development till that lame fuck FDR came along was generally a move for greater freedom, the idea that society, authority and norms are totally positive has never been a a serious part of American culture, and also the way most Americans believe one should become ...
Me: I'm lamenting the fact that disrespect for authority is our NATURAL INCLINATION
P: but it has been since the beggining and its worked real well for us
Me: What, so the Civil War turned out WRONG?
P: they were both fighting for freedom, and are you saying the revolution was wrong
Me: in the Eastern thought, obedience is the highest virtue once a Samurai can value his master's life above his own, he is transformed into a fearless demon
P: yes but us westerners are currently the dominant civilization and we think it sucks
Me: naturally, you necessarily exhaust every available legal means of rectifying the injustice BEFORE, in frustration, turning to vigilanteism?
P: Frustration, ease, does it matter. I stop Evil where ever when ever, I have evolved beyond rules, we are beyond reason
Me: the latter certainly being true
P: I think the federal governments only role should be to defend us, conduct our foreign policy, maintain trade relations and manage and construct interstate infrastructure
Me: so you see no problem with allowing NAMBLA the freedoms it seeks?
P: thats part of defending us. Police is still defence, just a domestic form
Me: by that expansive notion of defence, you could similarly justify censorship
P: no because anybody can do that themselves by avoiding what they dislike, law should only exist to protect us when and where we have no way of doing so ourselves
Me: unless P thinks it's a stupid law, in which case he may break it at will
P: Well actually I always check in with Batman to make sure its cool, I am kind of an amateur so far, but he has been helpful
Me: he's so nice
P: not realy nice, but fair and helpful, but he can be real sarcastic
Me: and he just...dissapears in the middle of conversations, barely talks, never smiles
P: very rude
Me: I think Batman just needs to get laid.
P: I bet he does all the time its just he keeps that as a second secret life as super lover, he does that on weekend nights
Me: I know Batman's secret identity don't tell anyone, but it's Adam West
P: but adam west is super gay
Me: not according to his porn carreer
P: wrong, those are all his face airbrushed in and his voice dubbed over, he wears a mask for the gay stuff, only gay stuff for old Adam " one ball" West
Me: and you don't think the law should intrude to prevent me from ever having heard that?
