Plotless Violence

Hosted on Comicgenesis
I own the British-dubbed version of Jackie Chan's 1980 Young Master on dvd, but yesterday I...uh, got...the original Chinese (subbed) version and....
The British cut out almost 30 minutes from the mvoie, FROM THE FIGHT SCENES! They cut THE KUNG FU OUT OF A KUNG FU MOVIE!!!!
The final battle at the end against Wei Pei ("Master Kam") at the end, uncut, turned out to be JC's 3rd greatest fight scene OF ALL TIME (#1 being the 1978 Drunken Master vs Hwang "Thunderfoot" Jiang Lee, #2 being the 1979 Fearless Hyena vs Yee Kwan "White Eyebrow/Iron Robe Yim" Yan)!!! In the British version, it doesn't even rate in his top 10. WHY, G-d, WHY!?!?!
Why do people insist on removing the only good parts of Kung Fu movies when showing them in foreign markets?
